The Free Trade Alliance was created in 1994, upon the passage of NAFTA, to develop San Antonio as a competitive international trading center. Since that time, the Alliance has grown to be an international economic development organization focused on assisting our region benefit from the global market and in assisting foreign companies benefit from the strength of the NAFTA region. 

We are a membership organization, made up of community partners and business leaders. Our programs are designed to involve our membership so that we can develop our strategies with your business in mind, while providing global networking opportunities that benefit your business and career.
